Master Gardener Updates

The Lake Cumberland Master Gardeners are hosting the 2nd Annual Home Tweet Home Birdhouse Contest and they hope to have many entries. Drop off dates are May 2 & 3.

Judging is open to the public and will be on May 4 from 9am to 12pm at the Pulaski Co Extension office.

But wait! Also on that day is the Native and Heirloom Fest! Come enjoy learning about (purchasing optional) native plants and/or heirloom vegetable plants or seed.

Master Gardeners led a hands-on program on hugelkultur (hill culture) gardening. Participants learned about the method and then went out and made the new bed (see pics at right).

Lake Cumberland Master Gardeners will be at the Earth Day Celebration on April 14 at SCC. Drop by and have the kids plant a sunflower seed or make a seed bomb!
